Services Genesis 123 Foundation Offers: Israel has suffered barrages of thousands of rockets and missiles fired at Israeli communities, creating death, damage, injuries, fear, and trauma. These threats are at a level never experienced before. We need your prayers and support. Genesis 123 Foundation stands in the gap to provide emergency needs, including civilian security, soldiers' welfare, those suffering trauma, people whose homes have been destroyed, and emergency medical needs.
Tents of Mercy (Ohalei Rachamim in Hebrew) was founded in 1995 in the Haifa Bay area by Eitan Shishkoff, who continues to serve in an oversight capacity. In December 2016 Avishalom Tekle became the senior pastor and humanitarian aid director. He emigrated from Ethiopia's Jewish community and is the grandson of a renowned rabbi.
Services Tents of Mercy Offers:
Humanitarian Need: Tents of Mercy is a registered Israeli charity extending assistance to needy Israelis. They provide food, clothing, household goods, and counseling to anyone in need, no strings attached. They have embraced the prophetic mandate to share their food with the hungry, house the homeless, and clothe the naked.
Pro-Life: Tents of Mercy is home to a Pro-Life and maternity counseling office. A home cell group of committed volunteers undergirds this ministry with prayer to actively promote the cause of the unborn. They offer a free counseling service to help pregnant mothers make healthy, loving choices to keep their unborn babies.
With over 300,000 IDF reservists called up there is a need for hot meals, essentials, hygiene products and other things in the army. Those who are serving, or whose children are serving in the Israeli army, are confronting danger every day and enduring harsh weather conditions – sleeping outdoors in cold and rain. Tents of Mercy, the ordinary folks, prepare delicious food for their soldiers and two times a week they deliver clothes, food and other items to various military bases, often close to the border. This is such a blessing for the givers and receivers! The soldiers are no longer just “my children” but “our children” whom we care for as a community.
