TV Video Editor and Director

Location:  Albuquerque, NM

Job Type: Full-time Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager
 
TV Video Editor and Director will play a key role in the creation of high-quality television programs, promotional materials, features, and other visual content.  The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, strong editing skills, and the ability to manage the production process from concept to completion.  
Duties include:

•  Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent software to create engaging and polished final products.
• Direct live and pre-recorded television programs, ensuring quality control and smooth operation.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute video projects that align with the TV stations mission.
• Manage the post-production process, including color correction, sound mixing, and special effects.
• Operate camera equipment and assist with lighting and setup when necessary.
• Coordinate with talent, production crew, and other departments to ensure seamless production workflow.
• Maintain an organized workflow and meet tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in video editing and directing, preferably in a television or media environment.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar video editing software.
• Experience with camera operation, studio lighting, and live production directing.
• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and media  management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for storytelling and creativity.
• Experience with graphic design and motion graphics is a plus.
